Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday apprised Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir of India's role in undermining the regional stability.
According to details, the Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs, Adel al-Jubeir, met with PM Shehbaz to discuss matters of bilateral and mutual interest. During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on regional developments and the issue of Indian aggression.
PM Shehbaz had strongly condemned India's missile and drone attacks, describing them as unprovoked and unjustified acts of aggression.
He stated that such actions constitute a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and pose serious threats to regional peace and stability.
The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan is fully committed to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said that Pakistan reserves the right to take all necessary measures for self-defence, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
PM Shehbaz also expressed appreciation for the diplomatic efforts of the Saudi government to de-escalate tensions in the region and promote lasting peace.
The prime minister paid tribute to the bravery and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces.
According to the communique issued, the prime minister expressed his heartfelt best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, acknowledging the enduring brotherly relationship between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He conveyed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support to Pakistan during times of difficulty, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s full commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
PM Shehbaz also welcomed Saudi diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and promoting peace across the Middle East and South Asia.
He underscored that Pakistan’s armed forces had shown exemplary courage in thwarting the enemy’s nefarious designs.
The prime minister paid tribute to Pakistan’s brave forces, stating that they had once again proven their steadfast commitment to defending the homeland.
Adel Al-Jubeir expressed the Kingdom’s deep concern over the current situation in South Asia, and extended heartfelt condolences over the loss of Pakistani lives resulting from Indian attacks.
The Saudi Minister stressed that Pakistan and India must resolve all outstanding disputes in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions, and affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to support de-escalation efforts between the two neighbours.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said: "Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, today received Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Islamabad."
"The two leaders held discussions on the full spectrum of bilateral relations, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening the time-tested and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They also exchanged perspectives on the evolving regional situation," said MoFA.

"The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s constructive diplomatic efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region", the ministry added.
Earlier today, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel al-Jubeir, arrived in Pakistan on Friday for a one-day visit amid ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.
The visit follows his trip to India, where he held similar discussions. In Pakistan, the Saudi minister is scheduled to meet with the country’s top leadership.
