Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel al-Jubeir, arrived in Pakistan on Friday for a one-day visit amid ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India.
The visit follows his trip to India, where he held similar discussions. In Pakistan, the Saudi minister is scheduled to meet with the country’s top leadership.

Talks are expected to focus on the current state of tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned on Thursday recent Indian drone strikes and missile attacks on Pakistan during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to details, PM Shehbaz stated that the attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 31 civilians and left 57 others injured. “India has violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “These actions pose a serious threat to peace and stability in the South Asian region," said PM Shehbaz.
PM Shehbaz and the US Secretary of State have agreed to remain in contact amid rising tensions in South Asia. The US Secretary of State has reiterated a commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region, urging both Pakistan and India to cooperate in reducing tensions.
