Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has publicly denied running any secret Instagram accounts, responding to a wave of online speculation triggered by a resurfaced video and rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
The confusion began after Indian authorities reportedly restricted access to accounts of several Pakistani celebrities. Amid this, rumours swirled that Hania had created a separate Instagram account specifically for her Indian fanbase.
Fuel was added to the fire when a past video from her appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast went viral — in which she admitted to managing a hidden account under a different name to connect with fans, though she refused to disclose the username.

In the wake of growing speculation, Hania addressed the matter directly through her verified Instagram story on her main account “@haniahehe”. She wrote, “This is my only and official account. If anyone receives a request from any other account under my name, please report it. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, her team had earlier attempted to clarify the situation by stating that the alleged second account was an old one that was mistakenly left public, though no official confirmation followed.
The controversy comes at a time of heightened regional tension after India’s recent night-time strike on Pakistani urban areas, which many consider an act of war. In response, Hania Aamir also voiced her grief and outrage on Instagram, condemning the violence.
"I don’t have the right words, only anger, pain, and a heavy heart. A child is dead. Families shattered. For what?" she wrote, “This is not protection — it’s cruelty, it’s cowardice, and we are watching.”
Her statement has resonated with many in Pakistan, where celebrities are increasingly using their platforms to speak against war and support peace.
