United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he is ready to help ease tensions between Pakistan and India.
During a news briefing, President Trump expressed hope that the situation would not escalate further. He said that the United States wishes to see both countries cooperate and work together.
Trump had offered to mediate in order to help ease the ongoing tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

In a statement, Trump said he had heard about the clash between Pakistan and India, and called the Indian attacks shameful.
Moments ago, the director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) confirmed that the Indian military launched missiles that struck three separate locations inside Pakistan.
