As tensions between Pakistan and India continue to escalate following recent cross-border attacks, global powers and regional stakeholders have issued urgent calls for restraint and peaceful resolution through dialogue.
US monitoring situation closely
Speaking at a press briefing, US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said the United States is “closely monitoring the evolving situation between Pakistan and India.” She described the circumstances between Pakistan and India as “fluid and rapidly changing,” and reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to preventing further escalation.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed these concerns in a separate statement, emphasizing that the United States is in continuous contact with leadership in both countries. “We are constantly monitoring the situation and remain in communication with Pakistani and Indian officials in pursuit of a peaceful solution,” Rubio said.

Pakistan engages in diplomatic outreach
In response to the growing crisis, Pakistan’s National Security Adviser Lt Gen Asim Malik has contacted US Secretary of State Marco Rubio directly to brief him on the latest developments along the Line of Control (LoC).
Simultaneously, Pakistan has formally informed the UN secretary general, president of the General Assembly and president of the UN Security Council about blatant Indian aggression, on the instructions from the deputy prime minister and foreign minister.

UAE calls for restraint and dialogue
Meanwhile, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also expressed grave concern over the escalating conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. He urged both Islamabad and New Delhi to exercise restraint.
“Pakistan and India should not take any steps that threaten regional or global peace,” the UAE foreign minister stated, calling for diplomatic engagement and dialogue as the only viable solution to the conflict.
