Veteran Pakistani actress and writer Bushra Ansari has made headlines with a fiery and fearless response to Indian lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar.
He recently made controversial comments about Pakistan in the aftermath of a false flag operation in Indian-occupied Kashmir’s Pahalgam district.
Currently touring Germany and Switzerland for fundraising events, Bushra Ansari didn’t hold back while expressing her views in a viral video, calling out India’s hypocrisy, poor policies, and divisive narrative.

Bushra Ansari questioned India’s recent treatment of women who have lived in India for decades and were abruptly sent back to Pakistan. “Why did you give them visas in the first place?” she asked.
Taking a direct jibe at Javed Akhtar, she said that, “I don’t know what kind of a person is he. You don’t even believe in Allah, and yet you speak so arrogantly about Pakistan. Look at you—you’re about to die. At least behave like Naseeruddin Shah—he stays silent.”
She didn’t spare Indian media personalities either, calling Arnab Goswami a “psycho case” and condemning retired military officials who constantly speak against Pakistan.
Despite her sharp criticism of certain public figures, Bushra Ansari made a clear distinction between governments and ordinary citizens. She shared her experience of meeting a kind Indian girl during her travels, saying that, “People want peace. They want to express love for both countries—it’s the governments and certain individuals who poison minds.”
Fans across Pakistan are lauding Bushra Ansari’s bold and articulate response.
- “Thank you Bushra Apa for standing up with grace and fire.”
- “Only someone like her could say what millions feel but fear to express.”
- “She has put Javed Akhtar and his likes in their place.”
Bushra’s video has reignited discussions on cross-border tensions, freedom of expression, and the role of celebrities in shaping public discourse.
