Indian media outlets have been exposed for their extreme conduct following what has been called the "Pahalgam false flag operation," according to a report by News Laundry.
Immediately after the Pahalgam incident, Indian media channels hastily blamed Pakistan without evidence, openly issuing threats and effectively declaring a media war against the neighboring country.
News Laundry reports that Indian media has embraced Modi's Hindutva policy by spreading intensely hateful content against Muslims. The report highlights how continuous false propaganda suggesting "something big" is about to happen against Pakistan dominates coverage across channels.
According to the investigation, even routine meetings held by Prime Minister Modi are being sensationalized and presented as war preparations. The report also noted a disturbing trend where fake Pakistani experts are invited on shows only to be humiliated and threatened.
In one example cited by News Laundry, anchor Arnab Goswami unsuccessfully attempted to exploit political divisions by inviting supporters of Pakistan's PML-N and PTI parties to participate in propaganda segments.
The report criticizes what it calls "Godi media" (lap media) for consistently ignoring questions about Modi's flawed policies. "Neither security failures nor policy failures were questioned by these media outlets," News Laundry observed.
Perhaps most concerning, Indian media has largely ignored the actual victims of the Pahalgam incident, instead focusing all attention on war rhetoric against Pakistan, prompting one Indian journalist to describe the country's news channels and anchors as "a national embarrassment."
