The Sindh government has imposed an immediate ban on the use of plastic water bottles in all government offices across the province.
According to a notification issued by the authorities, officials are now required to use jugs and glasses for water consumption instead of plastic bottles.
The decision was made following concerns raised by the Chief Minister of Sindh during a cabinet meeting about the negative environmental impact of plastic bottles. The government has issued implementation orders to all departments.
A spokesperson for the provincial government stated that the ban is effective immediately and applies to all public offices in the province.
