A joint session of Parliament will be held today at 4 pm, which will be addressed by President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Governors and Chief Ministers have been invited to the joint session and the services chiefs of armed forces including the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee have been specially invited to participate in the joint session.
The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, the Governor and the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to attend the session.
Speakers of the four provincial assemblies, Speaker Azad Kashmir and Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan have also been invited.
Strict security arrangements were made for the joint meeting. Entry to Parliament House will not be allowed without a pass.
