Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended the interim bail of accused Afnan's father Shafqat Awan till December 4 in the case of the death of six members of the same family due to an accident.
The court directed the police to complete the investigation. The court inquired from the police about the investigation of the accused Shafqat.
The investigating officer (IO) apprised the court that the investigation had been done and Call Detail Record (CDR) was now being retrieved but more time should be given to complete the investigation.
The court accepted the request of the Police, Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abhar Gul conducted the bail hearing. Accused Shafqat Awan was presented before the court on completion of interim bail.

Six members of the same family were killed in a tragic car accident in the Defence Phase 7 area of Lahore late on November 12 night.
As per the police, Rafaqat Ali and his family were returning to their Shadab Colony home on Ferozepur Road in two cars after meeting his daughter’s in-laws when one of the cars rammed into the other near Defence Phase 7.
As a result, six members of Rafaqat Ali’s family, including two infants, were injured critically. All the injured were shifted to the Lahore General Hospital, however, they died during treatment.
