Member of the Balochistan Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs, Sanjay Kumar Panjwani, was robbed by bandits.
According to details, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Notal police station in Naseerabad district. The robbers fled after snatching mobile phones and valuables from Sanjay Kumar and his companions. Sanjay Kumar said that he was travelling to meet members of the minority community and to attend religious rituals, adding that armed men stopped them one to two kilometres from Notal.
A wagon and a car were already parked by the roadside. The bandits surrounded the vehicle and demanded valuables at gunpoint. His guards struggled with the armed men and resisted. Fearing possible firing and loss of life, the guards were stopped from resisting further. The number of bandits was around 12 to 15. There was also an exchange of fire between the bandits and security forces, after which the bandits fled.
