Pakistan handed Australia their biggest defeat in 20 years during the second T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.
The 90-run loss was their largest since a 100-run defeat to England in June 2005, which was only the second T20I ever played. An 89-run loss to New Zealand in Sydney in October 2022 is now their third-largest margin of defeat in terms of runs in the format.
In 2012, West Indies had outfoxed Australia by 74 runs in Colombo. Australia lost to India by 73 runs in Mirpur in 2014.
Australia got drubbed at the hands of the Green Shirts by 66 runs in Abu Dhabi in 2018.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan will look to whitewash Australia in the third T20I tomorrow, ahead of the forthcoming 10th edition of the T20 World Cup.
