Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul said the ICC should not apply double standards, adding that Bangladesh had been treated unfairly.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gul said India could not provide security to a single player, raising doubts over its ability to ensure the safety of an entire team. He also recalled that India did not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. He questioned whether Australia, England or any other major team would have faced exclusion from the World Cup under similar circumstances.
Gul said Bangladesh, a country of more than 200 million people, had not received fair treatment. He added that Pakistan had never mixed politics with sport and urged India to follow the same principle.
