Vivo has quietly added a new model to its Y31 series with the vivo Y31d, a budget-friendly smartphone that stands out with a larger battery and a 4G-only chipset.
While similar to the Y31 and Y31 Pro, the Y31d offers a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor and a high-capacity 7,200mAh battery.
The vivo Y31d measures 166.6 x 78.4 x 8.39mm, weighing 219g, and carries an IP69+ rating, making it splash- and water-resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The phone has a plastic composite body with a metal camera island and comes in Glow White and Starlight Gray.
It features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a 720 x 1,570 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,250 nits. Biometric authentication is handled via a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset, the Y31d is a 4G-only device. It comes with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Connectivity options include dual nano-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB 2.0, but the device lacks NFC and a headphone jack. Audio is managed via stereo speakers with a 400% claimed volume boost. The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6.
On the rear, the vivo Y31d has a 50MP main camera (f/2.0) paired with a 2MP secondary sensor, while selfies are handled by an 8MP front camera (f/2.0).
The phone’s 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery supports 44W FlashCharge, capable of charging from 1% to 50% in 43 minutes. A bypass charging feature allows gaming while plugged in, and the battery is rated for up to six years of use. Vivo claims the battery can deliver over 13 hours of MOBA gaming, more than 14 hours of navigation, or up to 45 hours of video playback.
Pricing has not yet been announced, but given its specifications, the Y31d is expected to be an affordable option in the budget segment.
