Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Raja Pervez Ashraf said on Saturday that forming an alliance with the government was a necessity of the time and that they had to look at the state, not politics.
During a news conference in Lahore, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the PPP was part of the alliance and that minor complaints were common. He condemned incidents such as the Gul Plaza tragedy in Karachi and other similar events as unacceptable. He said that action should be taken immediately in the case of the mother and daughter who fell into a manhole.
He said that those whose negligence was proven should be punished. He said that Basant was a beautiful festival and it was important to bring joy to people, but their safety also had to be ensured. He said the Punjab government had issued safety orders for Basant, which was a good step.
