Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said on Tuesday the government would not interfere in the affairs of seminaries and mosques.
He met separately with Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Ejaz Qadri at their residences in Karachi. According to details, recent developments were discussed in detail during the meetings.
Religious scholars presented their views on various matters. The interior minister listened to their concerns and assured them that all issues would be resolved. It was agreed to hold a detailed session in Islamabad soon and to prioritise the resolution of legitimate concerns.

Naqvi said a focal person would remain available at all times to ensure coordination between both sides.
Sindh ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah and Ziaul Hassan Lanjar were also present.
