Israel has launched a fresh round of airstrikes deep inside Iranian territory, targeting strategic military infrastructure in the northwestern city of Tabriz and the southern city of Shiraz, according to Iranian media reports.
Tasnim News Agency reported that the city of Tabriz was hit late Friday, with early assessments indicating that an airport and nearby air bases were among the targets. Simultaneously, reports emerged of a missile production facility in Shiraz being struck by the Israeli Air Force.
The renewed attacks mark a significant escalation in the already volatile situation following Israel’s earlier strikes on Tehran that claimed the lives of senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists.
Iranian authorities have yet to issue a full statement, but local emergency services have been deployed, and flights in and out of Tabriz International Airport have reportedly been suspended.
