Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi raised on Monday questions over the government’s position regarding the medical treatment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, CM Afridi said the protest outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House had not been called off. He said doubts were increasing as the treatment was not taking place in the presence of personal doctors and family members.
He added that the PTI workers were staging protests across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in a shutdown of the province.
CM Afridi said that the authority to issue a call for public protest rested solely with Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.
