Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has climbed to the number one position in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings, overtaking England’s Sophie Ecclestone.
Sadia, who moved up one spot, now leads the bowling charts in the shortest format of the game. Her consistent performances with the ball have been pivotal for Pakistan in recent months, with economical spells and timely breakthroughs helping her gain international recognition.
India’s Deepti Sharma holds the second spot, while Australia’s Annabelle Sutherland has moved into third. Ecclestone, who previously held the top position, now finds herself outside the top three.
While the bowling department has brought laurels for Pakistan, the batting rankings painted a contrasting picture. No Pakistani batter featured in the top 10 of the ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings.
Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to dominate the batting charts, maintaining her place at the summit. The experienced opener has been in sublime form, anchoring Australia’s top order with consistency.
In the all-rounders' category, West Indies’ Hayley Matthews holds the top spot, followed by Deepti Sharma. Pakistan’s Nida Dar, the national team captain, has managed to retain her position at seventh. Dar remains a crucial figure in the side, contributing with both bat and ball.
The latest rankings come as teams gear up for a packed women’s T20 calendar ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is expected to further shake up the rankings with high-stakes performances.
