A decision to build four new parking plazas in Rawalpindi was taken at a meeting chaired by Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin.
The meeting was held at the Rawalpindi Development Authority office, where officials briefed the minister on the current progress of ongoing projects and plans for future schemes. The review covered the Ring Road project, the expansion of Murree Road, and the construction of an underpass at the end of Double Road.
It was agreed that four new parking plazas would be built in the city. Two plazas will be located near the Katchery, while two will be constructed on Jinnah Road at Raja Bazaar.
The provincial housing minister also visited the Ring Road project interchange. Officials informed the meeting that 78 per cent of the Ring Road work has been completed and that the project is expected to become operational in March 2026.
