Political analysts and feminist activists urged the international community to address human rights violations, with a particular focus on women's rights in Afghanistan. During a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations, Otunbayeva acknowledged the efforts of UNAMA in promoting a prosperous future for Afghanistan, especially concerning women's issues.
