Tanna Barker, a 52-year-old woman from Utah, mistakenly gulped down her husband's AirPod Pro while trying to take a handful of vitamins.
The woman, a Utah real-estate agent, unintentionally swallowed an Apple AirPod, mistaking it for a vitamin supplement, while talking to a friend.
The bizarre incident, shared on TikTok, has gone viral, garnering over 2.4 million views.
The 52-year-old recounted her unusual mishap, disclosing that she had met up with a friend she hadn't seen in a year while out for a walk. Engrossed in their conversation, she reached into her handbag to take a vitamin supplement, planning to swallow it with a sip of water.
In her social media video, Barker said, "I'm gonna be very vulnerable right now. I had a situation happen this morning that I'm still dealing with." She went on to recount the events leading up to her accidental ingestion of the AirPod.
Fortunately, Barker's momentary lapse in judgment didn't result in any serious health issues. After consulting her doctor, she received advice to allow the AirPod to pass through her system naturally.
