Tajmal Kaleem, also known in literary circles as Ustad Kaleem, held a respected position in Punjabi poetry due to his unique style and profound intellectual expression.
The poet breathed his last on Wednesday. He was born in Chunian city of Kasur district.
His poetry beautifully blended tradition, resistance, pain, and the emotions of the common people, raising awareness about various social issues within Punjabi society.
Tajmal Kaleem played a leading role in promoting the Punjabi language and advocating for social justice.
His books, including Barfan Heeth Tandur (1996), Vehre Da Rakh (2010), Haan Di Sooli (2012), and Chekda Manzar (2017), earned widespread acclaim not only in literary circles but also inspired the younger generation to think critically and become more conscious.

Ustad Tajmal Kaleem was deeply respected and loved not only in Pakistan but also among Punjabis and Sikh communities worldwide.
