In a bold move that could reshape the competitive landscape of Pakistan’s SUV market, Kia Lucky Motors has announced a massive price reduction for its Sportage L lineup, with new rates taking effect from May 1, 2025.
The automaker has launched this deal as a limited-time offer, available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
The revised ex-factory prices are as follows:
- Sportage L HEV: Reduced from Rs 12,850,000 to Rs 10,999,000
- Sportage L FWD: Reduced from Rs 11,825,000 to Rs 9,999,000
- Sportage L Alpha: Reduced from Rs 9,499,000 to Rs 8,499,000
This significant revision comes in the wake of growing customer feedback and market pushback following the initial launch prices.
As per the media reports, potential buyers had expressed concerns regarding affordability and sought more competitive pricing from dealerships.
While the price cuts are being widely welcomed, Kia has not yet clarified whether the new rates will apply to customers who pre-booked or recently purchased the vehicle at the older prices. There is also no official word on how long this offer will last, leading to speculation that the automaker may be testing market elasticity or looking to boost mid-year sales.
The Sportage has long been a favourite among Pakistani SUV buyers for its stylish design and features. This strategic pricing move is expected to reignite interest, especially in the hybrid and FWD segments, and may push competitors like Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70, and MG HS to follow suit.
