The US dollar slipped on Wednesday by Rs0.5 to reach Rs281 in the open market.
According to details, on the third day of the business week, a downward trend was seen in the value of the American currency. According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the greenback's interbank rate remained unchanged at Rs280.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued to witness volatility. The KSE-100 Index fell by 538 points to trade at 183,414 points. During the session, the market recorded an intraday rise of 775 points and a fall of 721 points.
Market experts said investors remained cautious due to tensions between Iran and the United States.
