Indonesia’s Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The two leaders focused on regional and global security, defense cooperation, and institutional collaboration.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting included discussions on the evolving regional and global security landscape, mutual areas of interest, and opportunities to enhance defense cooperation. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional ties, training collaboration, and partnership in the defense industry.
The ISPR statement noted that the Indonesian defense minister appreciated the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin expressed a desire to further enhance defense cooperation with Pakistan, while Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed his commitment to fostering strong and enduring defense relations based on strategic interests.
