The Pakistan Army and Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) have inaugurated two Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in North Waziristan's Shiva and Spinwam tehsils, aiming to address the region's long-standing clean drinking water crisis.
The plants, which were established under a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will produce 6,000 gallons of clean water daily.
This initiative comes in response to persistent requests from local residents, who have faced significant challenges in accessing safe drinking water. The new RO plants are expected to significantly reduce water-borne diseases in the area.
The opening ceremony witnessed the participation of Pakistan Army officials, MPCL representatives, local leaders, and a large number of community members. The event underscored the collaborative efforts and dedication of all parties involved.
Residents of Shiva and Spinwam have expressed deep gratitude towards the Pakistan Army and MPCL for their support and for successfully completing this vital project.
