An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday heard the case registered in connection with the November 26 protest against Aleema Khan and ten other accused, as defence counsel completed cross-examination of two additional prosecution witnesses.
The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah. During the proceedings, defence lawyers concluded cross-examination of Assistant Director NCCIA Salman Riaz and the complainant in the case, Sub-Inspector Nadeem Murtaza.
Witness Salman Riaz recorded his statement before the court on the same day. During the hearing, he also submitted a 33-page forensic analysis report as part of the evidence.
So far, defence counsel have completed cross-examination of statements given by 16 prosecution witnesses in the case.
The court adjourned further proceedings until Thursday, when cross-examination of the remaining two witnesses - both serving as investigating officers in the case - will be conducted.
The case pertains to charges filed in relation to the November 26 protest, with proceedings continuing before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi.
