US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephonic conversation with his British counterpart to discuss regional peace and stability, the US State Department said on Monday.
During the call, both leaders stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India. Rubio underscored the need for continued bilateral engagement and dialogue between the two South Asian nations.
"The United States supports direct talks between Pakistan and India," Secretary Rubio said, reaffirming Washington’s commitment to regional diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution.
