In a landmark moment for the Indian fashion industry, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan made his much-anticipated debut at the 2025 Met Gala, becoming the first Indian male actor to grace the famed red carpet.
The event, themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” saw Khan dressed in a sophisticated, custom-made ensemble by celebrated Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

SRK turned heads in a floor-length black coat made from Tasmanian superfine wool, detailed with monogrammed Japanese horn buttons — a seamless blend of subtlety and elegance. Adding a bold touch was “The Bengal Tiger Head Cane,” crafted in 18k gold and adorned with tourmalines, sapphires, and brilliant-cut diamonds, symbolizing craftsmanship at its finest.

With his signature humility and charm, Khan simply said, “Hi, I’m Shah Rukh,” sparking cheers from fans in the background. The moment quickly went viral, capturing the internet’s collective admiration.

While the fashion community remains split over the simplicity of the look — some praising its elegance, others calling it too understated — there’s no denying the cultural significance of the appearance.
