Sonu entered the platform during the ceremony and sat politely at Asha Bhosle's feet, kissing them and carefully cleaning them with his hands. He dried her feet with a towel, then gave them one more touch before leaving the stage.
According to reports, Sonu also gave a moving statement in which she praised Asha Bhosle and her late sister Lata Mangeshkar for their contributions to music.
