The Punjab government has taken decisive action by removing 29 law officers from their positions, including Additional Advocate General Gulzar Ahmed Khan, and former Lahore Bar president Malik Sarood Ahmed.
The decision, aimed at restructuring the legal framework within the province, was communicated through an official notification sent to key institutions, including the Supreme Court and the Lahore High Court.
Among those relieved of their duties are five prominent figures, including Punjab Additional Advocate General Gulzar Ahmed Khan, and Malik Sarood Ahmed, both notable figures in the legal community.
Furthermore, the notification listed the removal of 24 individuals, including assistant advocates general Shahid Mehmood, Muhammad Akram, Syed Ali Riaz, among others.

A few days ago, it had been reported that a massive reshuffle in Punjab’s education bureaucracy had been decided, including in Lahore.
It has been decided to change all district chief executive officers (CEOs), while the district and deputy district education officers would now have to undergo a test.
Candidates for CEOs and DEOs will be required to take the test. Education officers will be tested through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). The Punjab Department of School Education was supposed to release the details in the coming days.
