Salman Ali Agha struck a rapid half-century to give Pakistan a solid start against Australia in the second T20 international at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Saturday.
Pakistan elected to bat first after winning the toss and reached 98 for three in 10.2 overs, scoring at a healthy run rate of 9.48.
Agha remained unbeaten on 59 from 32 deliveries, hitting five fours and four sixes. His innings steadied the side after early wickets and kept the momentum with aggressive stroke play.
Saim Ayub provided early impetus with 23 off 11 balls, while Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for five. Babar Azam fell cheaply, departing for two.
Usman Khan supported Agha late in the innings and stayed not out on nine.
Pakistan crossed 50 in just 4.1 overs and reached 72 for two at the end of the powerplay. Agha brought up his fifty from 25 balls, underlining Pakistan’s strong position heading into the latter half of the innings.
The match is part of Australia’s tour of Pakistan in the 2025–26 season.
