The security forces killed 12 terrorists allegedly affiliated with Indian-backed groups in multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on May 17 and 18.
According to official sources, three terrorists belonging to the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), an Indian proxy outfit, were neutralized in two separate engagements in Balochistan.
In Awaran District's Gishkur area, an IBO led to the killing of an Indian-sponsored terrorist identified as Younas, while two others sustained injuries. In another targeted operation in Turbat City, Kech District, security forces successfully eliminated BLF ringleader Sabr Ullah and his associate Amjad, also known by his alias "Bichoo."
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site. The slain terrorists were reportedly involved in attacks against law enforcement agencies and targeted killings of civilians.
Meanwhile, in a parallel series of operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nine terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were eliminated.
Five terrorists were killed in Lakki Marwat District during an IBO. Two more were neutralized in a separate engagement in Bannu District. In another incident in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, two terrorists ambushed a security convoy but were swiftly neutralized by the troops.
Tragically, two soldiers embraced martyrdom during the Mir Ali operation: Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi (29), a resident of Kurram, and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi (32), from Kohat.

Following these operations, sanitization efforts are ongoing in the affected regions to eliminate any remaining terrorist elements.
PM, president laud security forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for successfully eliminating three terrorists and injuring two others in operations conducted in Balochistan’s Kech and Awaran districts. The terrorists belonged to the Indian-sponsored Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), according to official sources.
