At least four children were killed and five others, including a woman, sustained injuries when a bomb struck a house in the village of Hormuz in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan on Monday, according to local sources.
As per reports, all the deceased and injured belonged to the same family. The injured were promptly shifted to Mir Ali Hospital for medical treatment.
Security officials and rescue teams reached the site shortly after the explosion and cordoned off the area. However, the origin and nature of the bomb remain unclear.
Following the devastating incident, residents of Mir Ali took to the streets to protest the loss of innocent lives. A large crowd gathered at Mir Ali Chowk, demanding justice and a transparent investigation.
