Senior Pakistani defence analyst Shahzad Chaudhry has emphasised the importance of not underestimating the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV's special transmission "Samaa Control Room", Chaudhry said, “No professional force should underestimate another. I don’t believe they [India] were underestimating us. If underestimation had been the case, India would have suffered far more serious consequences a long time ago.”
Reflecting on recent developments, he added, “The previous chapter of our bilateral military engagement has left an impression that Pakistan is not a walkover. You cannot simply roll over Pakistan by force or by chance.”
The analyst praised the resilience and unity displayed by Pakistan's institutions and people during periods of tension, stating, “Whether it was our national character or our armed forces, at every stage, wherever possible, Pakistan stood its ground. All institutions, along with the public, showed resolve. Despite political and economic weaknesses, this internal strength wasn’t apparent to the enemy.”
Highlighting the public’s response during drone incidents, Chaudhry said, “For two or three days, drones flew over our skies. Yet, if you look at social media, you’ll see ordinary citizens running toward those sites, lifting drones, and even celebrating. That speaks volumes about our national spirit.”
He said, “In modern warfare, fear is psychological. Previously, armies fought on borders. Now, the battle comes directly to your cities, and you don’t even know where the next hit will land. Yet, our nation rises—undaunted—for the sake of the homeland.”
Chaudhry warned, “Such a nation should never be taken for granted.”
