Nothing has officially launched the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, bringing premium features to the mid-range market at competitive prices.
While both models share the same core design and hardware, the Pro version stands out with an enhanced camera system, additional features, and a slightly refined build.
Sleek design and immersive display
Both the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro sport a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The Pro model gains added durability with Panda Glass protection, making it more resistant to scratches and drops.
Nothing’s signature Glyph interface remains a key highlight, using LED lights on the back for customizable notifications. Additionally, both models are IP64 water—and dust-resistant. The Essential Key integrated into the power button allows for quick access to shortcuts, enhancing usability.
The Phone 3a comes in Black, White, and Blue (with Blue unavailable in the US), while the Pro model is limited to Black and Grey.
Performance and software
Under the hood, both devices run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, ensuring efficient performance and battery optimization. Users can choose between 8GB and 12GB RAM with storage options up to 256GB, depending on the market.
Running on NothingOS 3.1 (Android 15), the brand guarantees three major Android updates and six years of security patches, offering long-term software support.
Advanced camera system
The Phone (3a) Pro is equipped with a 50MP main camera (1/1.56” sensor, f/1.88, OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom (extendable to 6x using AI), and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera is 50MP, ensuring high-quality front-facing shots.
The standard Phone (3a) retains the 50MP main camera but swaps the periscope telephoto for a 50MP 2x zoom lens. It keeps the 8MP ultrawide camera but downgrades the selfie camera to 32MP.
Battery and pricing
Both models pack a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast wired charging, reaching 50% in just 19 minutes.
