Lahore City Traffic Police has been directed to handcuff violators of traffic and parking laws before registering cases against them.
According to officials, every sector in-charge and circle officer has been instructed to carry handcuffs at all times.
Violators will be handcuffed on the spot and handed over to the local police for further action.
The directive was issued by the Chief Traffic Officer, emphasizing stricter enforcement measures to curb illegal parking and encroachments in the city.
Following the orders, traffic wardens have started arranging handcuffs independently.
A video of traffic police officers using handcuffs on violators have also surfaced, showcasing the implementation of these new measures.
