New Zealand, directed to bat by Shanto, encountered early challenges, losing three wickets before concluding their innings at 134 for nine in the allotted 20 overs.
Shanto commended Bangladesh's bowlers for swiftly adapting to the conditions and voiced confidence after limiting the hosts.
Despite the early setbacks, Bangladesh stabilised their innings, with the experienced Litton Das making a substantial contribution and finishing unbeaten on 42.
Mitchell Santner, standing in for regular skipper Kane Williamson, acknowledged Bangladesh for their bowling prowess.
