Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited the headquarters of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) where he was briefed on the prevailing regional security environment.
The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and the chiefs of the armed services.
During the visit, the leadership was apprised of developments in regional security, emerging threats, and Pakistan's response strategies. The briefing covered traditional military options, hybrid warfare tactics, and the evolving threat posed by terrorist proxies.
A comprehensive review of India’s increasingly aggressive and provocative posture along Pakistan's eastern border was also conducted. The officials received an in-depth overview of the current security challenges and the measures being undertaken to safeguard national interests.

Earlier, the National Assembly held a discussion on the regional situation arising out of the backdrop of the Pahalgam False Flag Operation and India’s provocative actions following the incident.
The lawmakers expressed the determination that the entire Pakistani nation is united in its resolve to respond to any Indian misadventure.
Earlier on Tuesday, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar informed the National Assembly that after India blocked Pakistan’s digital accounts, Pakistan strategically responded by broadcasting a patriotic song of its Armed Forces on Indian YouTube channels through geotagging and the purchase of advertisement airtime.
He said Pakistan has effectively countered India’s propaganda globally, claiming victory in both the narrative and diplomatic arenas. He also highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent engagements with international diplomats and world leaders as part of this effort.
Tarar emphasized that the Pakistani nation has always thwarted enemy designs. "We are not aggressors, but any misadventure by the enemy will be met with a response so strong that it will be remembered for generations," he warned.
Referring to the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the minister reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people, reiterating that “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.”
He further said that Pakistan remains a frontline state in the fight against terrorism and has suffered tremendous losses in this war. Tarar also revealed that Pakistan possesses credible and irrefutable evidence of Indian state-sponsored terrorism, including involvement in the targeted killings of Sikhs.
