The mask-wearing made on Wednesday mandatory in four divisions in Punjab to combat the toxic smog.
According to details, Punjab EPA Director General Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh had issued the notification in this regard. "The mask-wearing will be mandatory in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Multan divisions."
The EPA stated: "There has been a surge in the cases of the patients suffering from the respiratory problems in the area more vulnerable to the smog."
"The decision has been made to protect the people from the chemical substances," said the EPA.
The implementation will be made on decision till January 31.
