The Ministry of National Health Services made a shocking revelation on Tuesday that 80 million Pakistanis are suffering from various mental diseases.
According to details, the ministry of health had submitted a report to the parliament. The inflation, unemployment, and economic crunch had been considered as some of the major reasons for the mental health problems.
Both men and women are facing mental health challenges, but more men are facing mental diseases than women. Employees, businesspersons, and the unemployed all suffering from the mental disorders or any sort of psychological challenges.
The ministry of health focal person, Rizwan Taj, said: "Today everybody is facing the economic challenges, and as a result, the entire family system has been disturbed. These challenges are one of the reasons that lead to the anxiety and depression."
Meanwhile, the medical experts were of the view that the violence on Palestinians by Israel is another reason for the mental disorders in Pakistan.
The medical experts said that the economic difference and weak belief system are some of the reasons that leave the women mentally ill in the country.
Meanwhile, the country's youth are facing depression due to the lack of job opportunities and unemployment.
