Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone call in which they discussed peace, security and development in the region.
Both leaders stressed the need for steady dialogue and effective diplomatic contacts and agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged views on the changing regional situation. The prime minister said that sustained talks and active diplomatic engagement were essential for peace, security and development in the region.
The discussion also highlighted the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, based on shared history, culture and faith. Both sides agreed to expand cooperation within the framework of bilateral relations.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintain high-level contacts and consultations between Pakistan and Iran through established institutional mechanisms.
