A new spell of rain and snowfall is expected across the country as the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in various regions and snowfall in upper areas from January 31 to February 3.
According to the PMD, rain and snowfall are likely in northern Balochistan and the northern parts of the country during this period. Other regions are also expected to receive rain.
The department said that from January 31 to February 3, rain and snowfall are expected in different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. From February 1 to February 3, rain and snowfall are also expected at several locations in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Murree, Punjab, and the Galiyat.
Due to changing weather conditions, a noticeable drop in temperature is expected. The mountainous areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may also face the risk of landslides.
