Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar inaugurated the new building of the Pakistani consulate in Jeddah.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, the ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, the Consul General, prominent Saudi figures, and other dignitaries. During the inauguration, the national flag was hoisted within the premises of the new building, and a commemorative plaque was unveiled.
On the occasion, Dar expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the Consul General and the timely completion of the project, while appreciating the cooperation of Saudi authorities. The Deputy Prime Minister said the government is committed to providing effective and high-quality consular services to Pakistanis living abroad.
Dar instructed that consular services and all office affairs be shifted to the new chancery building without delay. He said the new building would enhance and make consular services more effective for Pakistanis.
