Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has appealed to people in flood-prone areas to fully cooperate with the administration and rescue agencies as the province faces the threat of severe flooding.
In a statement, she urged residents of vulnerable areas to move to safer locations, assuring that the government will compensate for losses to homes, crops, and livestock. “At this moment, the top priority is to protect lives,” the chief minister said.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that all entitled relief will be delivered to flood-affected citizens, adding, “This is my promise to the people of Punjab.” She further appealed to families to prioritize their own safety and that of their children over material possessions.
