In a candid Q&A session, Sultan, who was previously married to actor Feroze Khan, reflected on her own experiences and offered guidance to those preparing for this significant life step.
Married at the tender age of 22, Sultan’s union with Khan ended in a high-profile and contentious divorce. Despite the challenges, including allegations of abuse that were brought to light but never pursued in court, Aliza Sultan is now focused on raising her two children and moving forward with her life.
Addressing her audience, Sultan emphasized the importance of thorough consideration before entering into marriage. “It’s crucial to marry a good person who is responsible,” she stated.
“Responsibility is a key trait that should not be overlooked.”
Sultan also highlighted her belief that early marriages can be premature, citing her own experience as a case in point.
“I was married at 22, and now at 28, I have witnessed much of the world. I realizs now that 22 was too early for such a commitment. When it comes time for my daughter to marry, I will ensure she is of an age where she can truly care for herself.”
