Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has acknowledged that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, is facing an eye problem, while emphasizing that there is no personal animosity despite political differences.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, the minister addressed concerns regarding the former prime minister’s health and legal status.
Chaudhry said Imran Khan had previously served as the prime minister of the country and deserves due consideration.
“We certainly have political differences, but there is no personal issue,” he stated. He clarified that the PTI founder is not serving his sentence on anyone’s orders but in cases of his own.
Concerns over eye condition
The minister confirmed that the PTI founder is experiencing an eye problem. He noted that some claims suggest the founder had been complaining about the issue since October.

“If this happens, it will definitely be against those responsible,” he added, indicating that accountability would follow if negligence is proven.
Sister’s earlier statements
Chaudhry referred to past meetings between the PTI founder and his sister. He said that during a meeting in October, the sister came out and stated that his health was very good. Similarly, on December 2, she reportedly expressed satisfaction over his health condition.
The minister questioned the sudden shift in claims, pointing to these earlier statements.
On the other hand, a day ago, Chaudhry had said that the government will send Imran Khan abroad for treatment if it becomes necessary.
Speaking on Samaa TV programme Nadeem Malik Live, Chaudhry said that the government had no objection if Imran Khan wished to receive treatment at Shifa International Hospital, and that he should undergo any necessary medical check-ups.

He added that there was no personal enmity with Imran Khan and that the founder’s health remained the priority. Chaudhry said that there were possibilities of reversible and repairable treatment for Imran Khan’s eye condition, and that full treatment could resolve the issue.
Chaudhry said that this was the second medical report regarding Imran Khan’s condition. According to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences report, Imran Khan's eye condition improved after treatment, adding that Salman Safdar, being a lawyer, was not qualified to issue a medical report.
