Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has called for an end to the ongoing tensions between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and his party.
Speaking at a ceremony in Lahore, Rafique said that a situation similar to that in Azad Kashmir could arise anywhere. He insisted that political problems must be resolved through proper channels and not by force or coercion.
He emphasised that it would be better if both parties moved forward together. He added that the country must be freed from siege politics.
"Cities and roads are being shut down, but such actions should be removed from political discourse. Political issues require political solutions," Rafique said.
The former federal minister praised Pakistan’s position, saying the nation stands united with its armed forces. He also expressed confidence that the Pak-Saudi defence agreement would strengthen both countries.
Rafique maintained that the federal government is achieving successes on the foreign front.
