Doctors suspect that the loud sound of DJ music was the cause of a brain haemorrhage that occurred in a 40-year-old guy from the Surguja division's Balrampur area.
Medical experts were taken aback by the odd instance since the patient, Sanjay Jaiswal, had no prior history of hypertension, disease, or trauma.
Jaiswal experienced sudden dizziness two days earlier while packing gear into a DJ car. At first, he tried to dismiss it and left for home. But later that night, when he was making dinner, he began to vomit and also had excruciating headaches, according to TOI.
The patient arrived up to the hospital the following morning in a wheelchair, according to Dr. Shailendra Gupta, an associate professor in the ENT department at Government Medical College Ambikapur, who spoke with TOI.
A blood clot in his brain's back was discovered via a CT scan; it was most likely the result of a blood vessel burst. These kinds of incidents are usually associated with hypertension, auto accidents, or injuries, none of which are related to Jaiswal.
“At first, the patient was hesitant to share the truth, possibly because of his connection to the DJ. He broke down when we insisted he tell us what happened and finally admitted that he had been working near the DJ when the loud music caused him to feel dizzy. His condition deteriorated later that night,” Dr. Gupta said.
Furthermore, he said that loud noises might occasionally result in brain haemorrhages, particularly in those with weaker occipital regions in the rear of the head. Jaiswal's blood pressure was normal, he said, and no evidence of prior medical problems was found.
The state government received criticism by the Chhattisgarh High Court last year for its failure to regulate noise pollution. The government was ordered by the court to provide an affidavit outlining the measures taken to resolve the problem, with a focus on DJs and amplifiers.
As a result, the Chief Secretary called a meeting with police and district collectors to demand that anyone who disobeyed noise ordinances face severe consequences.
